Tattoo Boudoir

This gorgeous girl answered an "Angel Call" for someone with tattoos. She is stunning inside and out and her tattoos are AMAZING!

It is so important to love yourself and be proud of who you are, inside and out. It's great to celebrate your body and your sexuality no matter what size you are.

Thank you Krista for letting me share your images and being such an amazing model! Thank you to Elisha Seaton Makeup for being as always, an amazing artist and such a good friend.

Jacksonville, NC In Home Lifestyle

Welcome to the Deffenbaugh family!

I was first welcomed into their home approx. 3 years ago and have been so thankful to be welcomed back every year since. Not only are they one of my favorite families, they have become great friends as well.

Being a military wife is not easy. Living the military life is not easy. The Deffenbaugh's handle every bump, every joyous milestone as partners. This past year they welcomed their 4th addition to the team, Miss Rogue, or as I like to call her "Birdie". She is absolutely adorable and I cannot wait to photograph her roughing around with her 3 older, protective and very loving brothers.

I don't get to do a lot of In Home Lifestyle sessions but they are absolutely my favorite family sessions of all. Your house doesn't have to be perfect, your kids don't have to be perfect, all I ask is for you to be real... and play! Have fun!

I really think I got to capture a little part of Lilly and Matts world with the kids this time around and I could not be more pleased to share this post with you.

If you are interested in booking your own In Home Session, please email me at

Couples Boudoir

I am so excited to share my first couples boudoir of 2017!

This could not have been a better way to start my year off, especially with the new business changes.

They have known each other for 10 years, dated for 7 and married for 3. They have a beautiful little girl and I love that they both found Christ in their own way in their marriage.

Couples boudoir is not for everyone! I started offering these special sessions because my own marriage was not in a wonderful place. Sometimes it is easy to lose yourself and each other, through kids, work, everyday life, and it doesn't help when they leave for more than 6 months out of the year. These sessions are to help couples connect on a deeper, a more vulnerable level, at least that is my goal for every session. Whether you marriage is in a great place or in a place where you are working on it, this could be the session for you.

Every session is tailored to suit the couple! We have a consultation beforehand and figure out whether or not you want to come to the studio or have the session in your own space. If you think this type of session is for you and your spouse, please contact me through the contact tab above! I would love to discuss options with you both!

Enjoy a little sneak peek for the first session of the year!

Thank you to Elisha Seaton Makeup, for Hair and Makeup. A big thank you for my clients allowing me to share this intimate session <3. I am forever grateful but do not expect every client to grant me that access.

LuLaRoe + Family Pictures = Perfection

Hi everyone!

I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for an amazing Holiday season. I know I cannot wait to have my husband home in time for Christmas and we get to visit my Mother In Law so that is always exciting.

If you don't know me, then you don't know how obsessed with LuLaRoe I am. I met Amanda through another consultant while on the hunt for the RIGHT Carly. We connected not only through clothes, but God as well. I fell in love with her spunky, sweet and sincere personality immediately. If you know the Neighbors family, then you know how amazing they are so I don't need to describe how exciting and fun their session was for me.

I love when a random connection becomes a friend and client. Thank you guys for making my job super easy and braving the cold weather to capture the true love that you have for each other.

Amanda, thank you for helping strengthen my faith. It's a gift I can never repay.

If you love LuLaRoe or just want to check out some amazing clothes make sure to visit Amanda's store at the link below!

Melissa + Austin (An All American Love Story)

I was contacted by a great friend of Melissa's and she hired me to capture Melissa and Austins Engagement pictures. They had a specific idea of what they wanted, 1940's themed, combined with their military uniforms. They are both incredible members of the U.S. Army and it was such an honor not just capturing these moments but being in their presence. The sacrifice that service members and their families make every day is something I am still in awe of, even after several years of being a dependent myself.

I digress... they very sweetly answered questions for me. They totally touched my heart!

"Melissa and Austin"

How did you meet:

"We met by chance encounter on a summer evening at a Fayetteville Festival June 2015"

What do you love the most about each other:

"Melissa has a seemingly endless amount of energy, enthusiasm and zeal for life that is unparalleled. Sometime's it's fueled by energy drinks when we try to accomplish too much but we always seem to add to our adventures. She is the best road trip / airport partner (when not sleeping) a guy could ask for and is always up for something new. She has written her own successful story and is unapologetically herself at all times, which just so happens to be my perfect match in a partner."
"What I love most about Austin is how I am free to be myself around him. He accepted me "as is". Never once did I have to pretend to be something that I wasn't . It was a breath of fresh air to meet a man with the same excitement for everything in life and sees the positive in everything. He is the most genuine, caring and selfless man I know. He is also the best cook I know. From steaks to cupcakes to apple pies. How lucky is the girl that has a man who loves to make her happy by making her the perfect meal"

When did you know he/she was the one?:

Austin: "There was never one moment that I knew Melissa was the one, but a culmination of a bunch of serendipitous events. We are compatible in so many ways that leads to incredible amounts of happiness."
"As I already thought Austin was to good to be true and of course wanted him to be the one the moment I met him, I honestly did not know the depth of it until I was deployed. We had only known each other a couple of months, we were pretty good at keeping in touch with each other. One evening I did not receive a message saying that he made it back safely from a night flying exercise. As not to seem pushy or needy, I did not call him. Instead I worried the entire day wondering if he was ok. The "what if's" sand in. What if something happened to him? What if I never saw him again? What if he never knew how much I was falling in love with him? It was then I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he was the man that I truly loved and wanted to spend the rest of my life with."

How did he pop the question?:

"Austin was visiting me on a TDY trip down in Florida this past August. Apparently he had the ring for quite some time, but was waiting for the perfect moment. The day before we were supposed to come home to NC, we went on a sunset Everglades tour. It was a private tour with just us 2 and the driver of the air boat. Austin had worked things out earlier with the owner to stop somewhere perfect to watch the sunset. It was at that moment, as we were watching the sky change that he reached into his backpack and pulled out a box. The driver of the boat tricked me into taking photos so it seemed natural for him to have his camera out. Austin then made it seem like it was a regular gift by having me unwrap it. Once the bow was untied, he took over from there. Surrounded by a couple of alligators, he got down on one knee and asked me if I would spend the rest of his sunsets with him. Of course I said yes :D"

What makes the other person happiest?:

Dual Answer:
"As cliche as it sounds, we are both happiest when we are together. Being dual active duty military, it can be hard sometimes to carve out quality time together. When we have it, we make sure not to waste a minute of it."

What is his|her spirit animal?:

"Melissa's spirit animal would be a Unicorn. She is the most patient and happy ball of energy who always makes it a point to show she cares. She always sparkles, sometimes because of her natural radiance but mostly the different type of glitter products she likes to wear ;)"
"Austin's spirit animal would be a Golden Retriever. Very loyal to friends and family, always optimistic and charismatic."
